Thank You from Marc de Grandpré and Jochen Schneider

Dear fans,

With the conclusion of the 2023 season, we would like to sincerely express our gratitude for your loyalty and unwavering commitment to our club. The enthusiasm and spirit you provide is truly second to none, and we thrive on the energy you bring to Red Bull Arena, year after year.

While proud to have qualified for our 14th consecutive MLS Cup Playoff berth, this season simply did not meet the organizational standards we strive to deliver to the best fan base in all of Major League Soccer. The passion and fight our team displayed down the stretch, which qualified us for the Playoffs and earned a Wild Card match victory, is the intensity we must bring to bear every time we step foot on the pitch.

The performance of our entire organization will be elevated in 2024 and we vow that each player, coach, and front office staff member will work tirelessly to provide you the product and experience you deserve.

As the club resets going forward, we are carefully analyzing the season in order to make the correct key decisions. We are committed to making a significant investment into our roster, enhancing your experience at Red Bull Arena and continuing the development of our Training Complex.

Witnessing the growth of homegrown talent, including John Tolkin and Daniel Edelman, both named to the MLS’ 22 Under 22 list, has been truly exciting. The future is bright as Red Bulls II qualified for the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs and built a strong pipeline for those players to benefit our First Team in the coming years. Back in June, our Academy U-15 team was crowned the 2023 MLS NEXT Cup Champions and we proudly signed Julian Hall (the second-youngest player to appear in a match in MLS history), Aidan Stokes, Davi Alexandre and Tanner Rosborough to professional contracts as they launch their careers. From a staffing standpoint, we strengthened our scouting departments with focus on our First Team personnel and Academy.

We are always enhancing the match presentation at Red Bull Arena in order to provide the best experience for our fans. In 2024, a brand-new energy-efficient LED stadium lighting system will augment elements around pre- and post-match entertainment, in-game goal celebrations and an improved broadcast for those streaming at home on the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

The official construction of our Training Complex in Morris Township, NJ will begin in December with the completion still on schedule for the summer of 2025. This state-of-the-art complex will be the premier training facility in all of MLS.

With the convergence of Major League Soccer’s massive growth and the anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup taking place on our soil, the beautiful game is experiencing an incredible rise in popularity in our country. We will aggressively position our club to be in the forefront of soccer in North America. This will be accomplished with the best talent, facilities, resources and the amazing support from our fans.

Thank you again for being a part of the New York Red Bulls family. We will work harder than ever to make you proud of your club.

Sincerely,
