Get to know who the Red Bulls will be playing in their upcoming matchup.

How they’re doing

Heading into its second consecutive U.S. Open Cup semifinal, Orlando City is trying to snap a three-match winless streak.

The club sits just inside the top half of the MLS table, holding a 5th place spot in the Eastern Conference with eight wins, eight losses, and six draws in league play.

The Lions have struggled to find wins in all competitions since May 22 despite this Open Cup run, winning outright just twice in the past 12 matches.

The team advanced on penalty kicks in its last two Open Cup ties against Inter Miami on May 25 and Nashville SC on June 29.

Head-to-head history

The Red Bulls hold an 8-5-2 edge over Orlando City, including 2-1 wins in both matches during the 2021 season.

All previous games between the two sides came in MLS play. This will be the first meeting between New York and Orlando in the U.S. Open Cup.
