TWO HUNDRED: Luis Robles Starts 200th Career Game for New York Red Bulls

Robles 200

Luis Robles notched start No. 200 for the New York Red Bulls across all competitions with the opening whistle against Toronto FC on Monday night.

Robles has started 174 consecutive MLS regular season games for the Red Bulls, good for the Ironman streak. He's now started 17 career postseason games, five CONCACAF Champions League games and four U.S. Open Cup starts.

Robles has started and played a full 90 minutes in 174 consecutive regular season games. He broke Kevin Hartman’s all-time MLS record of 112 complete games against Colorado on April 16, 2016 and set a new league record for consecutive starts with his 119th against NYCFC.

Robles is the only player in MLS history to start 100 consecutive games for the same franchise.

Robles surpassed former Red Bull Dax McCarty at Portland on August 18 for the franchise lead in starts by a field player or goalkeeper with 164.

The goalkeeper also leads the franchise in wins (80), shutouts (49), goals against average (1.31), winning percentage (.583) and minutes played for both field players and goalkeepers (15,570).
