HARRISON, N.J. (May 30, 2025) – Red Bulls Academy U-18’s to host Inter Miami on Saturday, May 31 at Red Bulls Training Facility with kickoff set for 12:00 p.m. ET.
New York (7-3-3, 24 pts) sit in third place of the MLS NEXT U-19 East (North) Division with 24 points and need a win to qualify for the 2025 MLS NEXT Playoffs. They are unbeaten in their last five MLS NEXT league, including three straight wins over Orlando City SC, New England Revolution, and Philadelphia Union. The group is coming off a 2-1 win over Philadelphia Union on May 17 at Red Bulls Training Facility.
Miami (5-9-3, 18 pts) is in third place of the MLS NEXT U-19 East (South) Division. They are winless in their last three matches and were last in action on May 3 where they suffered a 5-0 loss to Toronto FC.
This will be the first matchup of the season between the two sides this season
With a win or draw, the U-18s can clinch a spot in the MLS NEXT Playoffs in Nashville, TN. Head Coach Jonathan Rhodes says the team’s mindset is to “focus on the process of development and execution of the game plan” emphasizing that “the group has shown great character and togetherness to put themselves in a position to qualify for playoffs, however the focus must stay the same. What individually or collectively can we do better than last week and make that improvement.”
