WEST LAWN, PA. (July 21, 2018) - The New York Red Bulls Academy U-23s dropped a 2-1 result to Mid-Atlantic Conference Champions Reading United AC, Saturday at Gorski Stadium in the PDL Eastern Conference Final.
The U-23s made the final after defeating Black Rock FC (MA), 2-1, on Friday night.
New York’s Starting XI Saturday featured six Academy products.
Reading United opened the scoring in the 26th minute and doubled their lead three minutes before halftime in the 42nd minute.
The U-23s pulled back a goal in the 60th minute, scored by Rider University’s Coco Sylvain to inch a goal closer.
New York finishes the year 11-4-1 across all competitions.
