HARRISON, N.J. (May 20, 2020) – New York Red Bulls II will face Greenville Triumph SC in Division A action. The matchup is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20 at 8:30 PM ET, with coverage available on NYRB II Twitch Channel.
NYRB II were crowned champions of Division A for Week 1 of play. Mike LaBelle won four straight matches, including three overtime matches in a row. LaBelle defeated Saint Louis’s Kyle Morton in the Week 1 Final, where he scored the game winner in the 107th minute of play. With the win, NYRB II earned 1,000 points and currently top the overall standings of the USL eCup.
Greenville Triumph SC, who represents Poland, are currently tied for 11th in the overall standings with a total of 200 points. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals of Week 1 by Hartford Athletic. They defeated New England Revolution II to advance to face NYRB II on Wednesday. The matchup will be New York Red Bulls midfielder Ben Mines against Greenville’s Jake Keegan. The winner of the matchup will move on to play in the semifinals of Week 2 on Thursday, May 21 at 8:30 PM ET.
