USL Match Preview: NYRB II Hit the Road to Face TFC II

HARRISON, N.J. (September 8, 2017) – New York Red Bulls II (10-11-5, 35 points), currently on a five-game unbeaten run and back up to seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings, heads to Toronto, Canada to take on Toronto FC II (5-15-7, 22 points) at BMO Field, Saturday following the conclusion of Toronto FC and the San Jose Earthquakes MLS match. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET and can be seen live via the USL Match Center.


NYRB II enter Saturday’s match coming off a 4-2 win at MSU Soccer Park over the fourth-place Tampa Bay Rowdies. Andrew Tinari and Florian Valot each tallied a goal for the second game in a row. NYRB II’s unbeaten run is the longest of season for the side this USL season.


Toronto FC II sits in 15th place in the Eastern Conference standings and are coming off a 1-0 loss to the Rochester Rhinos.


In their previous match-up earlier in July, NYRB II prevailed 1-0 on a Vincent Bezecourt strike in the 27th minute.

Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II continue their two-game road trip and heads to Cincinnati, Ohio to face FC Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium on Saturday, August 16.
