Red Bull New York (RBNY), in partnership with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), are celebrating soccer players who are natural leaders, exhibit integrity on and off the field, are dependable teammates, and showcase outstanding sportsmanship. As the Official Hospital of RBNY, Hospital for Special Surgery continues to mitigate sport related injuries and enhances the athlete experience among the tri-state. 

The Coach’s Choice Award, presented by Red Bull New York and HSS, honors Tri-State area athletes who consistently show up for their teams, overcome challenges and obstacles, and demonstrate a genuine passion for the game of soccer. Beyond their performance on the field, these athletes have extraordinary stories that set them apart and merit special recognition. HSS and RBNY are dedicated to amplifying the game of soccer and supporting these young athletes. 

RBNY and HSS will select six finalists who embody the characteristics of the Coach’s Choice Award to receive a $1,000 equipment grant for their program. Each finalist will be asked to create a short video explaining why they should be selected as the winner of the award and why their organization would benefit from such a grant. Red Bull New York and Hospital for Special Surgery will review all finalist video submissions and identify one grand prize winner who will win a $4,500 equipment grant for their soccer program!
