Clint Mathis—or Cletus, as he was affectionately known by fans and media—announced that he will be hanging up his cleats following the Galaxy's friendly vs. Real Madrid on Saturday. The retirement follows a 13-year playing career that took him throughout MLS and Europe, and to a World Cup.
