MLS Power Rankings: Week 28

Two huge draws left the Power Rankings in limbo this week. RSL and New York settled nothing, and FCD's back-and-forth deadlock with Colorado left us wanting. The Galaxy, meanwhile, nudged up a spot, and the Crew tumbled to their lowest spot this season.

RSL vs. FC Dallas in the first round?! Can we revamp the playoff format in next two weeks?

(14-4-10, 52 pts.) Last: Tied NY, 0-0 [WATCH] Next: Saturday vs FCD

Maybe they've looked beatable the past six weeks -- but we could still see them doing "just enough" to go all the way.

(17-6-5, 56 pts.) Last:  Beat PHI, 1-0 [WATCH] Next: Saturday vs. COL

The Hoops have lost only two games all year and still aren't top of the table. We're still impressed, even if Schellas Hyndman isn't.

(12-2-14, 50 pts.) Last: Tied COL, 2-2 [WATCH] Next: Saturday at RSL

Márquez has been inspired, Henry still adjusting. Ironic that Mehdi Ballouchy and Dane Richards are the missing links.

(14-8-6, 48 pts.) Last: Tied RSL, 0-0 [WATCH] Next: Saturday at PHI

After a forgettable first half, Sounders now look like the team many picked in preseason to win MLS Cup.

(13-9-6, 48 pts.) Last: Beat CLB, 2-1 (USOC), Beat KC, 2-1 [WATCH] Next: Tuesday vs. CD Chivas, Saturday vs. CHV

The Crew must stop the bleeding fast if they're to get anywhere this postseason.

(13-8-7, 46 pts.) Last: Lost to SEA, 2-1 (USOC), Lost to CHI, 2-0 [WATCH] Next: Saturday at TOR

Wondo's an MVP contender for sure, but he'll likely have to overtake leading scorer Edson Buddle if he has any true shot at an award.

(12-8-7, 43 pts.) Last: Beat D.C., 2-0 [WATCH], Next: Saturday vs. HOU

The Rapids can't possibly lose their lead in the playoff race, can they? Colorado's overdue for some postseason glow.

(11-8-9, 42 pts.) Last: Tied FCD, 2-2 [WATCH] Next: Saturday at LA

If the Wizards don't reach the postseason, they can blame their many squandered scoring chances.

(9-12-6, 33 pts.) Last: Lost to SEA, 2-1 [WATCH] Next: Tuesday at CHI, Saturday at NE

Will Brian McBride's redirect be his last MLS goal? If so, fitting that it came against the Crew.

(8-11-8, 32 pts.) Last: Beat CLB, 2-0 [WATCH] Next: Tuesday vs. KC, Saturday vs. DC

A flop at the HDC sums up a frustrating spell down the stretch for the Reds.

(8-12-7, 31 pts.) Last: Lost to CHV, 3-0 [WATCH] Next: Saturday vs. CLB

Growing pains have been tough, but a tight loss to the league's leading team shows Peter Nowak has himself a young team with nothing but upside.

(7-14-7, 28 pts.) Last: Lost to LA, 1-0 [WATCH] Next: Saturday vs. NY

It got ugly against the Dynamo, but the Revs got a solid win to stay unbeaten all-time at Robertson Stadium.

(8-15-5, 29 pts.) Last: Beat HOU, 2-1 [WATCH] Next: Saturday vs. KC

A late burst salts away an impressive win for the Goats, who have us thinking about 2011. Seriously.

(8-15-4, 28 pts.) Last: Beat TOR, 3-0 [WATCH] Next: Friday at SEA

Geoff Cameron's elbow on Pat Phelan summed up a frustrating year for a proud franchise.

(7-15-6, 27 pts.) Last: Lost to NE, 2-1 [WATCH] Next: Saturday at SJ

What a shame if the last image of Jaime Moreno in MLS is a red card. One of the league's all-time greats deserves better.

(6-19-3, 21 pts.) Last: Lost to SJ, 2-0 [WATCH] Next: Saturday at CHI
