As part of the Red Bulls’ pregame regiment prior to tonight’s preseason opener against Mexican First Division side, Atlante FC, Fitness Coach Scott Piri put the players through a fun but productive session this morning.


As the video below demonstrates, dynamic stretching and the use of foam rollers and tennis balls is conducive to the players being in optimal condition in regards to flexibility and explosive power.

In addition to the stretching routine, some inventive games were played to keep the players focused and get their competitive juices flowing ahead of the team’s first chance to take the field opposite players wearing different colors.

With head coach Hans Backe stating that he will likely field a different lineup in each half, this will be the first opportunity to find out how the returning players as well as the new signings and rookies perform in a competitive match.
