Red Bulls forward Corey Hertzog, along with midfielders Sacir Hot and Matt Kassel, will be among the group of 18 emerging stars representing 12 different MLS clubs to embark on an 11-day, three-game trip through the Netherlands starting Dec. 5.

The Generation adidas tour, headed by Sporting Kansas City Coach Peter Vermes, is part of adidas’ continued commitment to advance the sport of soccer in the United States and Canada through MLS. The program provides players unique opportunities throughout the world of soccer to enhance their skills and development as professionals, athletes and students.

“MLS is thrilled with the foresight and ambition that adidas shows through programs like Generation adidas,” MLS Executive Vice President Todd Durbin said. “This annual offseason tour has been invaluable for young players, and we are excited to see this talented group come together to tour the Netherlands. Our players’ overall development is enhanced by the exposure to legendary clubs and games against their peers in other countries.”

While in Amsterdam, Hertzog, Hot and Kassel will also attend the UEFA Champions League match between Ajax and Real Madrid at the Amsterdam Arena. Additionally, they will catch a Dutch league match between AZ Alkmaar vs. De Graafschap.
