Red Bulls General Manager Erik Soler confirmed today in an exclusive interview with the New York Post's Brian Lewis that Red Bulls captain Thierry Henry is close to heading back to Arsenal on a short-term loan deal. Both teams have been in conversations over the last few weeks and an official announcement is pending the approval of paperwork.
Earlier this month there was a healthy buzz around North London when Henry rejoined his former club for a training stint. That was followed shortly after by a speech outside Emirates Stadium when Arsenal unveiled a bronze statue of their all-time leading goalscorer.
Henry was seen training with the Gunners Friday.
