Match Photos: New York at New England (7-8-12)

The New York Red Bulls struggled to find the back of the net Sunday night as they fell to the New England Revolution 2-0 at Gillette Stadium. The outcome marks only the second time this season the Red Bulls have failed to register a goal, the first coming against Real Salt Lake in the second match of the season back on March 17.

Injured starters aside, the second half brought with it a number of scoring opportunities for New York, including a header attempt by Brandon Barklage that just floated over the crossbar and a rip-roaring shot from Kenny Cooper that bounced off the woodwork (

The Red Bulls return home for the first match of a three-game home stand at Red Bull Arena July 15 when they host the Seattle Sounders for a 4 PM kickoff.

Chicago comes to town Wednesday, July 18 for a matinee match, before the series of home games closes out with Rivalry Day against Philadelphia on July 21. The first 5,000 fans 16 and under through the gates for the Philly match will receive a free Red Bulls flat-brimmed cap.
