AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 22
Dax McCarty’s third goal of the season, a header he sent into the back of the net off a Brandon Barklage cross, has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Week for Week 21.
McCarty’s tally came in the fourth minute of extra time off a sequence of passes between Sam and a Barklage before the cross worked the ball into the box, where a diving McCarty was there to head it home and give the Red Bulls a 4-3 victory over Real Salt Lake.
