AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 34

Eight seconds.

That is how long it took for Red Bulls leading goalscorer Tim Cahill to find the back of the net on Sunday, setting a new MLS mark for the fastest goal recorded. Of more significance, Cahill’s eventual game-winner set the tone in New York’s 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamo. The Red Bulls are just one win away from capturing their first-ever Supporters’ Shield.

Unsurprisingly, Cahill’s rocket is up for MLS Goal of the Week, going up against Vancouver’s Kekuta Manneh, Colorado’s Deshorn Brown and Gabriel Torres and Columbus’ Aaron Schoenfeld.

Red Bulls fans: Take a few seconds (eight if you’d like) to vote for Cahill by voting on the poll on this page. Spread the word on Twitter and Facebook and help make Cahill this week’s MLS Goal of the Week winner.
