The New York Red Bulls announced the try out dates for the upcoming fall Regional Development Schools (RDS).

All RDS locations offer eight weeks of advanced, technical training, focusing specifically on individual functions of the game. Accessible via try out only, each course provides an intensive and challenging environment unlike any other. Players that excel within the RDS will be selected to represent the New York Red Bulls in showcase tournament play, and earn the opportunity to train with the full academy teams.

Following on from a sixth consecutive year where the RDS accounted for over 95% of players selected for Red Bulls youngest Academy team, the program continues to represent a proven pathway to the area's highest level youth soccer program.

Featuring a low coaching ratio, some of the most highly qualified staff in the area, and an unrivaled end of season evaluation, the RDS also now offers a homework tracking system for additional long term improvement. The homework scorecard comes complete with an online video curriculum focusing on technical, tactical, and psychological components of the game.

Applications are encouraged from boys and girls born between 2001 and 2008, who have a strong travel soccer background, and are looking for a unique training environment to supplement their existing club schedule. Applications are especially welcome from high level 2003 boys, looking to enhance their chances of joining the youngest Academy team, which will be formed in the spring of next year.

In addition to posting the fall schedule, a free clinic is also offered in Garfield, NJ, on Saturday, August 9th. The clinic welcomes Indoor SportsPlex to the family of RDS host locations, whilst allowing players to sample the training RDS offers. Click here for more information on the free clinic.
