HARRISON, N.J. (September 17, 2016) - 2016 USL Regular Season Champions New York Red Bulls II cruised to victory, beating FC Montreal 4-0 at Red Bull Arena. The win improves Red Bulls II to 20-3-6 on the season, bringing them to a record-breaking 66 points on the season.


With the win, NYRB II remains unbeaten for nine consecutive games (8-0-1) and has set a new USL single-season record of 59 goals, previously held by Orlando City SC in 2014.


Brandon Allen scored the first goal in the 20th minute, putting a deflection into the back of the net. Derrick Etienne Jr. continued the action in the 56th minute, placing a beautiful corner to the top of Florian Valot’s head to lead 2-0 and smash the previous USL single-season record for team goals scored during a season.


Etienne Jr. got his goal in the 74th minute, crushing a volley from outside the box to beat the keeper and make the game 3-0. The action continued into stoppage time when Stefano Bonomo scored a volley off of a perfect ball into the box by Brandon Allen to seal the win.


Red Bulls II plays its final game of the season away against Charleston
