USL MATCH PREVIEW: NYRB II Begin the Playoff Run Against Orlando City B

HARRISON, N.J. – New York Red Bulls II hosts Orlando City B in the winner takes all Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2 at Red Bull Arena.



NYRB II finished the season 21-3-6, nine points ahead of second place Louisville City FC. That said, they won the USL Regular Season Title handily while breaking multiple records along the way. Some records include most points, wins, and goals in a single season.


NYRB II looks to extend the club’s unbeaten streak to 11 games, with nine victories in the past 10 games. They finished the season with a 2-1 road victory over Charleston Battery.  The Red Bulls II are 8-2-4 this season at home.


Orlando City B finished the season at 9-13-8, good for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Red Bulls II and Orlando City B battled twice in the regular season, with the Red Bulls boasting a 1-0-1 record. Orlando City B is led by Michael Cox, who finished the season with 11 goals, and Pierre Da Silva, who recorded five assists on the season. In goal, Mark Ridgers finished the season with the most saves (106) in the USL.
