Mock Draft Has RBNY Picking A Goalkeeper

The 2017 MLS SuperDraft is just days away, and according to the latest mock draft at MLSSoccer.com, the Red Bulls might select a local goalkeeper.


Matthew Doyle's mock draft has New York selecting Monmouth University product Eric Klenofsky with the No. 17 overall pick in the SuperDraft


Klenofsky, from Staten Island, is familiar to the Red Bulls, as he played with New York's U-23 team in the USL Premier Development League. Klenofsky played in six games for the U-23 team, tallying 495 minutes, allowing eight goals and making 16 saves. His 2016 PDL campaign say him finish the season with a .667 save percentage and a 1.45 goals against average. 


New York has three picks in the upcoming draft (Nos. 17, 39 and 61 overall).


Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft takes place on Friday, January 13, at 3 p.m. ET. Rounds 3 and 4 of the SuperDraft will take place via conference call on Tuesday, January 17 at a time to be determined, according to MLS.
