RSL Shorthanded Due to International Duty, Cards, Injuries

Kyle Beckerman

Real Salt Lake will be missing some of their main players for their tilt against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Nick Rimando and midfielder Albert Rusnak are both away on international duty, with Rimando with the U.S. Men's National Team and Rusnak with the Slovakian team.

RSL will also be missing captain Kyle Beckerman, who received two yellow cards and the eventual red card in their March 18 games against LA Galaxy.

Ruled out for Saturday's match are forwards Joao Plata (hip contusion) and Jordan Allen (right quad strain). There are also three players listed as questionable for Salt Lake: defenders Aaron Maund (hamstring injury), Justen Glad (knee injury) and David Horst (knee injury).

Real Salt Lake will also have a new leader, with interim head coach Daryl Shore taking over the team for the first time after they dismissed Jeff Cassar earlier this week.

New York will be without three players on national team duty: Sacha Kljestan (USA), Derrick Etienne Jr. (Haiti) and Michael Murillo (Panama).
