USL Match Preview: NYRB II Head to Harrisburg for Wednesday Match

HARRISON, N.J. (JULY 11, 2017) – New York Red Bulls II (6-8-3, 21 points) travel to face another local rival, the Harrisburg City Islanders (4-8-4, 16 points), Wednesday evening at FNB Field. Kickoff is set of 7 p.m. ET and can be seen live via USL Match Center.


New York Red Bulls II is coming off a 2-0 loss to Bethlehem Steel FC Sunday at Goodman Stadium. The goal-less result snapped a 22-game road scoring streak for NYRB II.


Despite the loss, Red Bulls II possess the third most potent offense in the Eastern conference scoring 25 goals behind Charlotte Independence and Charleston Battery.


NYRB II midfielder Vincent Bezecourt continues to have a strong season leading the USL in assists with seven, while also knocking in five goals.


This will be the third and final regular season meeting between the two sides with each splitting the first two matchups.


In their last matchup in May, Red Bulls II put up their highest offensive output scoring three goals at MSU Soccer Park with Brandon Allen bagging a brace and Honduran international Douglas Martinez scoring late in his NYRB II debut.


Harrisburg is coming off a 1-0 loss to the Rochester Rhinos and sit 12th in the Eastern Conference standings.


Following Wednesday’s match, NYRB II return home to face the Charlotte Independence at MSU Soccer Park for the first time. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET.
