HARRISON, N.J. (July 27, 2017) – New York Red Bulls II (7-10-3, 24 points) head to Louisville, Kentucky this Saturday to take on Louisville City FC (9-3-5, 32 points) at Slugger Field. New York aims to tie the season series at one-apiece. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen via the USL Match Center.
Saturday’s match serves as NYRB II’s first visit to Slugger Field this season. Last year, New York came away with a 2-0 victory with goals Junior Flemmings and Brandon Allen.
New York is coming off a 1-0 win over Toronto FC II at MSU Soccer Park, snapping a three-game skid. Vincent Bezecourt scored the game-winner in the 27th minute, his sixth goal on the year, tying his total from 2016. Bezecourt also leads the USL in assists with eight.
Louisville defeated Saint Louis FC, 4-1, Saturday and sit third in the Eastern conference standings.
NYRB II dropped the first match in the all-time series to Louisville City FC, 3-0, at MSU Soccer Park earlier this season.
Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II return home to welcome the Rochester Rhinos on August 5. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET.
