Daniel Royer is a 'Full Go'

Daniel Royer will be on the 18-man gameday roster against D.C. United, Jesse Marsch said on Monday.

"We can consider him to start," Marsch said. "He's doing well. He'll be in the 18."

Royer was a "full go" in training and will make his first gameday appearance since injuring his leg at the beginning of August.

"It feels great to be back," Royer said on Tuesday. "Physically, I am not at my top yet because it was a long time that I was out, so I had to work a lot, physically, and it takes some time to get back to your top shape, but I am working every single day, happy to be back and ready to go.”

The midfielder had a hyperextension of the right knee, which resulted in bone bruising, suffered against New York City FC at Yankee Stadium.

"There were a couple of weeks where I could not do anything, no running, no biking," Royer said. "When I came back onto the field, running and all the high intensity training, it was really hard and felt like preseason training. All of that is what it takes, and what I needed to feel good when I come back, so it was necessary."

The Alcatel MLS Player of the Month for July has 10 goals and two assists in 22 MLS games this season, including six in July. Royer also has one goal in Open Cup play, scoring the game-winning goal against New York City FC in the fourth round of play.
