Harrison, N.J. (March 4, 2019) – The New York Red Bulls continue their quest to lift the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League trophy against Liga MX side Santos Laguna in the Quarterfinals on Tuesday at Red Bull Arena. Leg 1 kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. ET with coverage on YahooSports.com and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 7 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.

In the Round of 16, the Red Bulls had a strong balance on both sides of the field as they advanced 5-0 on aggregate. Austrian winger Daniel Royer scored a goal in each leg, with Sean Davis and Andreas Ivan adding a goal apiece in the home leg. Captain Luis Robles and the backline kept two successive clean sheets allowing only one shot on target through 180 minutes against Pantoja.

Santos enters the quarterfinals following an 11-2 aggregate win over Club Deportivo Marathón of Honduras. The Liga MX side had seven different players score in the series, with three players scoring at least three. Javier Marcelo Correa led Santos in the first leg recording a hat trick before halftime.

New York is coming off of a 1-1 draw in the 2019 MLS opener at Columbus Crew. Andreas Ivan scored the Red Bulls first league goal of 2019 in the sixth minute, which was also his second in as many games across all competitions. Robles made a pair of crucial saves in stoppage time to preserve the point for New York.

New York will face its third Liga MX team in Concacaf Champions League. The Red Bulls went 2-1-1 against Mexican clubs last season and became the third MLS team to win a competitive game in Mexico with a 2-0 win over Club Tijuana in the quarterfinals. Red Bulls starting right back Michael Amir Murillo is unavailable for the first leg of the SCCL Quarterfinals due to a yellow card accumulation suspension.

The Red Bulls and Santos Laguna will conclude the two-legged SCCL Quarterfinal series on Tuesday, March 12 in Estadio Corona. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. ET with coverage on YahooSports.com and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
