HARRISON, N.J. (March 19, 2019)- Allen Yanes has been called in by the Guatemalan National Team for the March FIFA window.
Yanes receives his second call up in the last calendar year. The 21-year-old made his first team appearance in a 3-0 loss against Argentina last September in his hometown of Los Angeles. He played the first 45 minutes of the match, winning eight of his 11 challenges at right fullback.
Yanes has joined Guatemala ahead of its friendly against Costa Rica on March 22, with kickoff set for 9 p.m. ET. Yanes will not be available for the club’s match against Nashville Soccer Club on Sunday, March 24. He will re-join the club ahead of its match against Memphis 901 FC on Friday, March 29, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET.
