HARRISON, N.J. (March 19, 2019) – New York Red Bulls midfielder Florian Valot suffered an ACL tear in his right knee during last weekend’s match against the San Jose Earthquakes.
Valot will undergo surgery in the coming weeks with team doctors at the Hospital for Special Surgery. A timetable for return will be established after surgery.
Valot, 26, missed the second half of the 2018 season with an ACL tear in the left knee.
Just wanted to share that as I feared, I torn my Right ACL. At that precise moment @luisrobles_31 told me “We got this”. I take it as like “I got this and we will be there with you”. I went through it once I can do it again. I am thankful and blessed by all the support already received throughout the organization and beyond. Road to recovery starts now. You guys can’t get ride of me that easily and I’ll be back stronger . . . . . . #rbny #newyork #nyc #newyorkredbulls #redbull #soccer #injury #mls #player #staystrong #recovery #acl #roadtorecovery #france #player #smile #positive
