HARRISON, N.J. (June 24, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II will face Nashville SC in the second match of their road trip on June 26, with kick-off set for 8 p.m. ET. The match can be seen live on ESPN+.
NYRB II are coming off a 3-0 loss against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, which saw them snap their three-match winning streak. This was only their fourth loss of the season and only the second time they have been shutout.
NYRB II last saw Nashville SC on March 24, which saw the clubs draw and each take a point. Nashville SC forward Daniel Rios opened the scoring in the 21st minute. NYRB II would equalize in the 55th minute, when Brian White headed in the equalizer off a cross from midfielder Marcus Epps.
Nashville SC tied Ottawa Fury SC, 3-3, on June 22 at First Tennessee Park. This was Nashville SC’s fifth draw of the season and they are currently in fourth in the Eastern Conference. Rios is their leading goal scorer with 10 on the year and is in second place in the Golden Boot race.
Following Wednesday’s match, NYRBII will finish up their three-match road trip when they face Charleston Battery on June 29, with kick-off set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
