  • New York Red Bulls II (11-4-5, 38 points) earned a road point on Saturday night with a 2-2 draw at Memphis 901 FC. NYRB II took a two-goal lead in the first half, but conceded twice to former NYRB II forward Brandon Allen in the second half.
  • Defender Jordan Scarlett opened the scoring in the 10th minute, heading home from close-range first his first goal of the season and first of his career. Chris Lema, who played in the cross, earned an assist on the play.
  • Vincent Bezecourt added a second goal before the half, cleaning up a loose ball in front of the goal after Jared Stroud’s attempt to finish a Kyle Duncan cross rang off the post. It was Bezecourt’s first of the season in his fifth USL appearance.
  • NYRB II is now 3-2-3 on the road this season.
  • Overall, NYRB II is 5-2-3 over its last 10 games and currently sits in second place in the USL Eastern Conference, just five points behind first-place Tampa Bay.
  • NYRB II will host Tampa Bay in a showdown of the Eastern Conference’s top-two teams on Friday, July 26. Kickoff at MSU Soccer Park is set for 7 p.m. ET, with coverage on ESPN+.
