Match Preview: NYRB II Finish Road Trip Against Indy Eleven

HARRISON, N.J. (September 2, 2019)- New York Red Bulls II will finish their road trip, when they head to Lucas Oil Stadium to face Indy Eleven on Wednesday, September 4, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET.


NYRB II are coming off a 5-1 victory over Swope Park Rangers on August 24. Midfielder Sean McSherry played his first match since May 18 and recorded a brace, including the game-winning goal. Defender Janos Loebe tallied two assists and forward Amarildo de Souza scored his first goal of the season.


The first time these two clubs met this season, NYRB II defeated Indy Eleven on April 28 at MSU Soccer Park. Indy’s Dane Kelly opened the scoring in the 13th minute, while Jared Stroud would convert a penalty kick in the 60th minute and then Tom Barlow would record the game-winning goal only nine minutes later.   


Indy Eleven are currently in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 46 points. They most recently defeated Charlotte Independence, 3-1, at home. Tyler Pasher currently leads the team with nine goals scored.


Following Wednesday’s match, NYRB II will return home on Friday, September 13 for the club’s annual Open House match, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET.
