New York Red Bulls Clinch Spot in Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs

Clinched 2019

The New York Red Bulls have clinched a spot in the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs.

The Red Bulls head to the postseason for the tenth consecutive season, the longest streak out of all major New York metro area teams.

New York recorded its 10th-straight season with 10-plus wins following its 1-0 win over Orlando City SC on July 21. The Red Bulls are just one of three teams to have an active streak of 10 or more seasons with 10-plus wins. (Seattle - 10, Real Salt Lake - 10).

Since 2014, New York has tallied the most points in the league (332).

The Red Bulls have seen production from almost every player that is on a first-team contract in league play. Of the 29 New York players, 26 players have seen action on the field, which is the most in MLS for a single team.

Alongside minutes seen on the field, New York is tops in the league for the number of players to contribute offensively. Twenty one of the 26 field players have tallied a goal or an assist, which includes 18 different goal scorers and 20 different assist makers.

The Red Bulls have seen 18 different players find the back of the net, which sets a new franchise record and tied the league record set by D.C. United in 2016.

New York has had nine different players tally a game-winning goal.
