HARRISON, N.J. (October 1, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II defender Edgardo Rito suffered a left ankle dislocation in Friday’s match against Charleston Battery at MSU Soccer Park, the club announced today.
Rito underwent successful surgery over the weekend and will miss the remainder of the 2019 season.
The Venezuelan defender recorded two goals and one assist in 22 matches during his first season with NYRB II. He helped the backline secure five clean sheets throughout the season. He joined NYRB II on loan from Yaracuyanos F.C. on February 20.
