HARRISON, N.J. (May 4, 2020) - New York Red Bulls II are set to battle Loudoun United FC in the Round of 32 of the play-in bracket to kick off the USL eCup: FIFA 20 edition. The matchup is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5 at 7:30 PM ET, with coverage available on NYRB II twitch channel.
This matchup will put NYRB II midfielder Omar Sowe against Loudoun United midfielder Allexon Saravia. NYRB II will be representing Chile, while Loudoun United FC will be representing Denmark. The winner will advance to the Round of 16, which will be played on May 6.
The play-in bracket will lead to all 32 teams in the competition being split into three divisions based on results of qualifying week. The first week of promotion/relegation of the divisions will start on May 11. Throughout the tournament, Sowe will be joined alongside by New York Red Bulls midfielder Ben Mines, Mike Labelle, and Brady Benitez on the quest to become USL eCup champions.
