HARRISON, N.J. (Sept 22, 2020) – The New York Red Bulls (4-6-2, 14 pts) travel South for a mid-week matchup against Inter Miami CF (3-7-2, 11 pts) on Wednesday. Saturday’s kickoff at Inter Miami CF Stadium is scheduled for 8 p.m. with coverage on MSG, MSG Go and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.


Coverage on MSG begins at 7:30 p.m. ET with the Red Bulls Pregame show. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.


New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 7 p.m. EST with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 7:30 p.m.




New York and Inter Miami clash for the first time in league history on Wednesday. The Red Bulls enter Wednesday’s match with a 1-1-2 mark on the road, tallying five of New York’s 14 total season points to sit eighth in the Eastern Conference standings. Miami comes into the mid-week match earning points in four of the last five matches (2-1-2) and sitting just below the playoff line at 11 points.


Despite its offensive struggles, New York ranks in the top eight in three defensive categories coming into Wednesday. The Red Bulls sit tied for seventh in shots faced (including blocks) at 129, tied for fifth in shots on target faced with 47 and tied for eighth in goals conceded at 14, per Opta. Goalkeepers David Jensen and Ryan Meara have combined for three clean sheets and a 70.83 save percentage, which rank tied for sixth and seventh, respectively, in MLS.
