HARRISON, N.J. (January 8, 2024) – New York Red Bulls II midfielder Rafael Mosquera has been called up to the Panama U-20 National Team ahead of their upcoming appearance in the UNCAF U-19 Tournament in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Mosquera, 18, will be entering his first full season with New York since joining on loan from C.D. Plaza Amador on July 22, 2023. The midfielder has logged 250 minutes in ten appearances for the club across all competitions, having tallied three assists in that span.
This will not be the first call up to a Panamanian Youth National Team, as the midfielder was featured in their U-23 side this past June. The 18-year-old has made eight appearances in international play and has logged 258 minutes over the course of four years, including caps in both the U-15 and U-20 CONCACAF Championships.
Mosquera has reported for training and will be set to kick off the tournament on January 17 in Honduras.
