HARRISON, N.J. (March 21, 2023) – New York Red Bulls II have signed former Clemson and Red Bull Academy midfielder Dylan Sullivan to an MLS NEXT Pro contract, the club announced today.
“We are extremely excited to announce Dylan’s signing,” Sporting Director Denis Hamlett said. “We have kept our eye on him within our Academy for years and know that he is ready for this next step in his career.”
The Red Bull system is nothing new for Dylan, as he has plenty of experience with the organization. Before attending Clemson University, Sullivan spent his years in high school playing for Red Bulls Academy U-16 to U-18 teams. The midfielder has been participating in trainings with Red Bulls II for the entire 2023 preseason in addition to having been around the team in past years.
“Dylan is going to be a great addition to help strengthen our midfield and defense,” New York Red Bulls II Head Coach Ibrahim Sekagya said. “His high work rate will be very useful for us on the pitch this upcoming season.”
The midfielder attended all four years of his college career at Clemson University, where he consistently featured in the Tiger lineup. In his senior year, Sullivan appeared in 16 matches and logged 350 minutes playing in the defensive midfield role.
