2019 Year in Review: Omar Sowe

Sowe

Having already represented New York Red Bulls U-18’s and U-23’s, forward Omar Sowe signed a USL Championship contract with NYRB II in August.

In his debut season the 19-year-old made five appearances and scored two goals in only 139 minutes of play.

Sowe scored his first professional goal in NYRB II’s trip to Louisville City on September 21. The forward made a clinical run into the 18-yard box before firing a Vincent Bezecourt pass into the back of the net.

Sowe scored once again in the final game of the USL Championship regular season. The former Red Bulls Academy Product made space for himself off the ball and tucked his second goal of the season into the bottom left corner.

The Harrison, New Jersey native came off the bench against Indy Eleven in the 2019 USL Championship Quarterfinals.
