The New York Red Bulls head to Orlando City Stadium for their fourth MLS regular-season match on Saturday, March 31.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET (TV: Univision Deportes and Twitter Live | Radio: New York Red Bulls Radio)
Here are five reasons you should tune into the match:
BWP in Form
Bradley Wright-Phillips connected for a brace on Saturday night against Minnesota United FC to add to his 2018 campaign. The two goals against Minnesota means BWP has now scored 88 MLS regular-season goals, the most goals over a five-year span in MLS history. Wright-Phillips raised his career MLS regular-season goal total to 89 -- and 106 across all competitions.
Returning From International Duty
Four New York Red Bulls players were called up by their respective national teams this week for international friendlies. Tyler Adams was selected for his third-straight call up to the U.S. Men’s National Team, Kemar Lawrence joined Jamaica and defenders Fidel Escobar and Michael Amir Murillo joined Panama. All players missed the game against Minnesota United FC, but will meet the club in Orlando.
First Since Swap
Sacha Kljestan will face his former team for the first time, while Carlos Rivas and Tommy Redding have a chance to return to Orlando City Stadium on Saturday. Rivas scored the only goal for Orlando in the last encounter between the two clubs, with Red Bulls defeating Orlando, 3-1, in August, 2017.
Winless Orlando
Orlando enters the game with 0-2-1 record, having not yet won a game in the MLS regular-season. The Lions had a bye in Week 4, and haven't played a match since March 17. OCSC will come out looking for their first three-point game of the year.
Bouncing Back
After a loss against Real Salt Lake, Red Bulls swept aside Minnesota 3-0 at Red Bull Arena. Regaining players from International duty and injuries, New York will look to continue momentum in the MLS regular-season against Orlando. A win against a strong Orlando City side will help the Red Bulls’ confidence as they head into the semi-finals of the Concacaf Champions League next week.
