LYON, FRANCE (June 9, 2018) - New York Red Bulls Homegrown midfielder Tyler Adams and Long Island Native Tim Parker both featured for the United States Men's National Team on Saturday night in Lyon, France in the USMNT's 1-1 draw to France.
Parker started in the U.S. defense, playing all 90 minutes while Adams, who also played the full match, earned his fifth cap and second straight start.
Parker, 25, hails from Hicksville, N.Y., and returned to New York in March via trade with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Parker was the 13th overall pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft after four years at St. John's University.
Adams, 19, was the youngest player in the Starting XI on Saturday. The Wappingers Falls, N.Y. native is a product of the Red Bulls' Regional Development School, where he played as an Under-12 player before graduating to the Red Bulls Academy, and ultimately signed a professional contract at the age of 16.
Former Red Bull Matt Miazga also featured in the starting lineup, playing 57 minutes.
Both Adams and Parker will return for the Red Bulls midweek tilt against the Sounders on Wednesday, June 13. Kickoff is set for 8p.m. ET.
