New York Red Bulls II goalkeeper AJ Marcucci was named to the bench of the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 32.
Marcucci started in net for the club’s season finale against the Tampa Bay Rowdies and recorded a career-high nine saves in the contest.
The nine saves are tied for the most by a Red Bulls II goalkeeper this season, matching Giannis Nikopolidis on August 3 against Memphis 901 FC.
They are also tied for third-most for a single match in club history. Marcucci is one of three goalkeepers in Red Bulls II history to have three or more matches of seven-plus saves.
Marcucci started 14 matches this season, tallied 48 saves, and recorded two clean sheets over 1,215 minutes.
This is the first time in his career that Marcucci has been featured in the USL Championship Team of the Week.
