Coaches of New York: Juan Perez

I was born in Manhattan, New York, to parents from the Dominican Republic, with Spanish roots on my grandfather’s side, who is 100% Spanish. I got into coaching because I genuinely enjoy helping others and watching them grow—both as players and as people—and I believe in planting the seed and allowing individuals to flourish in their own time. Along my journey, one of the biggest challenges and milestones has been developing patience and understanding that sometimes growth happens without words, and that silence can be just as powerful as instruction.

Red Bull holds a special place in my coaching story because at a moment when my family needed me, I dropped everything in Florida and in return, gained another family through the Red Bull organization. What continues to motivate me each day, week, and season is seeing the improvement, growth, and genuine connections formed with the players I work with.
