New York Red Bulls eMLS Player George Adamou claimed his first trophy of 2021, as he came out on top of the North America Qualifier 4 as champion.
Adamou had flirted with wins all year, finally securing his No. 1 spot on Sunday afternoon with a victory in a Global Series qualifier.
"Winning is always an amazing feeling, especially representing my hometown team," Adamou said following his win. "I knew that if I kept getting myself in these positions, it would eventually come.
Adamou followed up his 2020 eMLS Cup victory with runner-up appearances in the 2021 League Series One and eMLS Cup.
"Two championships in my first two years as a pro is a sensational feeling," he said.
