New York Red Bulls eMLS player George Adamou is sitting pretty for eMLS Cup and now EA Sports FIFA Global Series North American qualifiers.
Adamou is in third position for the upcoming eMLS Cup, the final leg of the eMLS season.
For the Global Series, Adamou is sixth in North Ameria and will soon face off against Joksan, a professional player for Complexity that has won the last two North American cups, for a spot in the final.
Adamou said his goal is to go Top 16 so he can secure a spot in the playoffs -- and then fight to qualify for the FIFA Global Series World Cup, to face off against the top players in the world. The matchup against Joksan is set for March 7.
For eMLS Cup, Adamou will face off against the winner of the Kid M3mito and Doolsta matchup, the winner of which will move into the semifinals.
Adamou finished second in eMLS League Series One, but failed to make the playoffs in League Series Two. Despite that, due to his strong performance in LS1, he is ranked third heading into eMLS Cup.
eMLS Cup is set for March 20-21 at 3 PM ET.
