New York Red Bulls eMLS player Mike LaBelle was eliminated Saturday in the Quarterfinals of the inaugural eMLS Cup, falling to Toronto FC’s PhillB94, 1-0.
The playoffs being single-elimination, LaBelle gave up an extra-time match winner despite creating more attacking chances throughout the match.
“I lost one-to-nil in extra time,” LaBelle said following the match. “It was a battle of possession and taking our chances.”
Mike appreciative of the support given during the tourney, knows there will be more opportunities going forward.
