Get To Know Stefano Bonomo

Forward Stefano Bonomo continued to rake in the goals for New York Red Bulls II this season. The California native led the front line for the team as his three playoff goals helped carry Red Bulls II into the semifinals of the 2017 USL Cup Playoffs.



Bonomo led Red Bulls II in scoring this season with a team-high 13 goals. The 24-year-old also collected two assists on the year to add to his double-digit goal total.


With 13 goals in 16 appearances, the forward ended the year with a minutes-to-goal ratio of 101.6. Bonomo's 101.6 minutes-to-goal ratio is the best on Red Bulls II in 2017.


The University of California-Berkeley product started 15 matches for Red Bulls II this season and featured in 1,321 minutes of action.



In 2016, Bonomo scored five goals and helped NYRB II to the best record in the league and the club’s first USL Cup title.


Prior to his college career, Bonomo was called up to United States U-18 National Team training camps in February and April 2011. He holds dual citizenship in the United States and Italy.


In 2015, Bonomo was selected in the second round (39th overall) of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by the New York Red Bulls.
