7. August 23, BWP breaks New York all-time, single season scoring record

The New York Red Bulls have scored 52 goals this season. Bradley Wright-Phillips has scored 25 of them. On August 23, Wright-Phillips scored his 20th goal in a 4-2 against the Montreal Impact, making him the first player in franchise history to eclipse the 20-goal mark in a single season. The Englishman’s 20th tally moved him ahead of Juan Pablo Angel (19 goals in 2007) for the all-time club record.
