Red Bull New York (9-11-6, 33 pts.) will battle STL City SC (12-6-8, 44 pts.) for the first time ever at Sports Illustrated Stadium on Saturday, September 26 for eSports Night.
This will be the first time that New York and STL City SC will be meeting in MLS regular season play. The Red Bulls are entering the match on a two-match winning streak, after defeating New York City FC on Friday, September 18 at Yankee Stadium.
STL City SC are entering the match on a 16-match unbeaten streak in MLS play.
Red Bulls goalkeeper Ethan Horvath has recorded three shutouts in his last four MLS matches. Horvath has tallied 91 saves this season, which ranks seventh in MLS.
In their last four games, New York has only conceded two goals, which ranks the lowest in MLS during that timespan.
Following Saturday’s match, the FIFA international break will run until October 6. New York will then return back to Sports Illustrated Stadium to face off against San Diego FC for the first-time ever on Saturday, October 10.
