INSIDE THE 18: Mathias Jørgensen Makes First MLS Start -



Danish 18-year-old Mathias Jørgensen will make his first start in Major League Soccer on Saturday night against Minnesota United.


Jørgensen is joined in the starting lineup by Venezuelan 19-year-old Cristian Casseres, Jr.


Bradley Wright-Phillips, Kaku, Alex Muyl and Sean Davis also get the nods for the Starting XI.


New York will look to remain perfect against Minnesota, having won the previous two matches, 3-0. Five of the six New York goals score against Minnesota have come from Wright-Phillips, 3, and Muyl, 2. In their last matchup at RBA, Muyl scored the game-winner in the 15th minute, while Wright-Phillips tallied a brace to seal the victory.


Kemar Lawrence, Aaron Long, Tim Parker and Michael Amir Murillo start along the back line, ahead of captain and goalkeeper Luis Robles.


Head Coach Chris Armas has Amro Tarek, Connor Lade, Derrick Etienne, Jr., Marcus Epps, Daniel Royer, Vincent Bezecourt available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as the backup goalkeeper.


The Red Bulls return to RBA in pursuit of their 100th league win at MLS’ Fortress. New York owns the best home record in MLS, with the most home wins, 99, and points, 328, since RBA was opened in 2010. The Red Bulls have not lost consecutive home league matches since May of 2014.
