INSIDE THE 18: Omir Fernandez Gets Nod in Group Stage Finale -

Omir Fernandez is being slotted into the Starting XI in Head Coach Chris Armas' lineup on Wednesday night against FC Cincinnati.

Fernandez earns the start after two matches off the bench at MLS is Back Tournament. Fernandez notched his first career MLS goal against Cincy in 2019.

The New York Red Bulls can lockup a spot in the Knockout Stage, pres. by Audi, with a win or a draw versus FCC.

Fernandez is joined by Danny Royer, Kaku and Florian Valot in the attack. Sean Davis will captain the side and pair with Cristian Casseres Jr. in the defensive midfield.

Along the backline, the four starters return from the previous two matches: Kyle Duncan, Amro Tarek, Aaron Long and Jason Pendant. David Jensen starts in goal for RBNY.

Pendant is making his third-straight start since joining the team in March just days before the season was paused. Jensen is making his fifth-straight start since joining the club in the offseason.

Armas will have a full roster to supplement the starters, with five available subs from the 12-man bench: Patrick Seagrist, Jared Stroud, Sean Nealis, Ben Mines, Ryan Meara, Alex Muyl, Tim Parker, Mandela Egbo, Kendall McIntosh, Brian White, Tom Barlow and Marc Rzatkowski.

White is on the matchday roster for the second match following a knock which kept him out of the first match of the MLS is Back Tournament. Mines makes the matchday roster for the first time in 2020.

Coverage of Wednesday's match will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, TSN and Red Bulls Radio.
