INSIDE THE 18: New York Red Bulls Ready for Champions League Tilt

Jesse Marsch

The Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Semifinals are here and the New York Red Bulls are ready to take on C.D. Guadalajara.

Head Coach Jesse Marsch will deploy a lineup ready to go at it in Estadio Akron.

Bradley Wright-Phillips will start at forward, with Sean Davis behind him in the midfield. Daniel Royer and Alex Muyl will work on the wings.

Through the first two rounds, Bradley Wright-Phillips has placed himself among the best in both goals and assists. Wright-Phillips is tied for the lead in both goals (3) and assists (3). Since 2008, no MLS player has won the golden boot in this tournament.

Tyler Adams will maintain the defensive midfield.

New York will look to extend its winning streak in SCCL play to four matches and its unbeaten streak to five on Wednesday. During that stretch, the Red Bulls combined to outscore CD Olimpia and Club Tijuana, 8-2, with two clean sheets, one of which came on the road against Tijuana.

Michael Amir Murillo and Kemar Lawrence will work as the wingbacks, while Aurelien Collin, Aaron Long and Tim Parker work as the centerbacks.

Luis Robles will captain the club and start in goal.

The Red Bulls will have Ryan Meara as the backup keeper, with Vincent Bezecourt, Derrick Etienne, Jr., Marc Rzatkowski, Alejandro "Kaku" Romero Gamarra, Florian Valot and Fidel Escobar on the bench.

Connor Lade left Saturday's match at halftime and will undergo further evaluation when the team returns to New York.

Kickoff is slated for 10 p.m. ET with coverage on Univision Deportes, go90.com and Red Bulls Radio in English on TuneIn. New York Red Bulls Radio goes live at 9:30 p.m. ET with triHonda Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Matt Harmon.
